Board of Regents Meets to Consider to Amend Item Adopted in May 13 Meeting

The Board of Regents of Higher Education met this morning in open session to consider the agenda item scheduled for today’s meeting, related to its vote last week on an item approving promotion and tenure recommendations from the Connecticut State Universities. After a discussion regarding the general Promotion and Tenure approval process, and the strong concern the Board of Regents has with the process currently in place for granting promotions and tenure, a motion to withdraw the agenda item was duly approved by the full board. The Board of Regents will await the completion of the Central Connecticut State University investigation before considering any future action. 

Following the vote to withdraw the item, the meeting was duly adjourned.
