CSCU and the Connecticut State Library Partner to Expand Ebook & Audiobook Access

With funding and support from the Connecticut State Library and its eGO CT program, the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) community has gained access to over 32,000 ebooks and audiobooks through the Palace Project app. 

The Connecticut State Library’s eGO CT program provides free and easy statewide access to ebook and audiobooks to libraries, K12 schools, and now academic institutions. The growing collection of ebook and audiobooks available through the app includes an outstanding selection of fiction, non-fiction, banned books, diverse authors and experiences, award winners, All CT Reads titles, and more.

Students, faculty, and staff at any CSCU institution can access the Palace app on their preferred mobile device or tablet via download from the Apple or Google Play stores. To get started, follow the Palace Project app instructions for CSCU Libraries.

“As members of the CSCU Library Consortium, we are excited to be launching this pilot program with our academic library partners to expand Palace app access to CSCU academic communities,” said State Librarian Deborah Schander. “Students, faculty, and staff at CSCU campuses will now have access to a robust digital collection with thousands of titles made available through the Palace app.”

“The CSCU System is proud to be the first in the state to expand the eGO CT program directly to higher ed students, faculty, and staff. Our partnership with the Connecticut State Library will be particularly beneficial to our out-of-state students, who can now access the program’s ebooks and audiobooks just as if they were residents of Connecticut,” said Patrick Carr, CSCU’s Program Manager for Library Consortium Operations.
