Finalists Selected in Search for Three Community College Presidents
The Regents Search Committee today announced that finalists have been selected for the positions of president at three community colleges.
The Regents Search Committee of the Board of Regents for Higher Education (BOR) today announced that finalists have been selected for the positions of president at three community colleges: Asnuntuck, Quinebaug Valley and Three Rivers. The announcement follows a nationwide, months-long search that was guided by a national search firm.
Applications were received from 269 candidates. The searches were supported by two committees — the Regents Search Committee and an advisory committee representative of faculty, staff, students, alumni and members from the business community at each of the three colleges.
“On behalf of the Board of Regents, I want to thank the advisory committees for their tireless work in considering many worthy applications, conducting interviews, and making sound recommendations,” said BOR President Gregory Gray. “The input of the advisory committees throughout this process has been outstanding.”
Finalists will return to Connecticut over the next two weeks to tour the college campuses, meet the community, and interview with system president Dr. Gregory Gray and members of the Regents Search Committee.
Finalist names and biographical information will be posted on the BOR and college websites a day or two before each candidate arrives for the interviews. Appointments are expected to be made in early summer.
