UConn Transfers
If you are beginning your studies at CT State Community College, UConn offers a guaranteed admission program designed for academically qualified students planning to transfer in and earn a degree from: The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, The College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources, or The School Of Business.
Guaranteed Admissions Program (GAP)
UConn offers a Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) for academically qualified students planning to earn a degree from:
- The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
- The College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources or
- The School Of Business
Students must:
- apply for this program BEFORE you have earned 30 transferable credits
- graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA (3.3 GPA for Business)
Students accepted into this program are guaranteed admission to the University of Connecticut’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources; or The School of Business once the associate degree has been earned, appropriate courses have been completed, and minimum grades and requirements for the selected program have been achieved.
Students who have already completed 30 transferable credits or plan to transfer into majors that are not part of the GAP program should apply to UConn as a transfer student.
UConn Transfer Admissions
If you plan on transferring to UConn and are not part of the Guaranteed Admission Program, you will need to apply to UConn as a transfer student by the deadlines listed on the UConn website. It is best to speak with your advisor at your community college as well as reach out to transfer advisors at UConn to best prepare for transfer. You will want to verify that your GPA meets the suggested minimum for admission at UConn.
